Atmore Alabama started as a small farm town over 100 years ago. As you drive down main street you can hear the history speak to you through the aged and architeched of the building. The small one screen theater to the town events that every one attends this town is built on families and hard work and dedication to it community. As a farming community the town folks learned to work together to grow their town.

Just north of Atmore is the home of the Poarch Creek Indians. The indian tribe has a pow-wow every year that you will find people from all over the surrounding counties. The poarch creek indians have just had a great addition to their community. It is the Wind Creek Casino right off Interstate 65. This gaming place will bring alot of business to Atmore and all the surrounding communities.
