Flomaton Alabama has been around since after the civil war. The Escambia county area and surrounding counties were put up for home stead sale at as little as
15 cents per acre. Mr Martin H. Sullivan purchased around 100,000 acres. Then Mr. Sullivan established the Sullivan Timber Company. This company stayed around for a few years using logging, ditches, dams and more. In 1900 the Alger Sullivan Lumber company was incorporated and they chose to locate in what is now called Century Florida. Century Florida and Flomaton Alabama connect at the bridge that goes over the railroad tracks on US Hwy 29.
While Flomaton is a small town it is on a upward stride. With the expansion of Hwy 113 to a four lane highway it is bringing more folks to and from Flomaton from Interstate 65. It is also bringing alot of the people visiting the Gulf Coast and the beaches.
In Flomaton you will find a great oppurtunity not only for the country living lifestyle but the commercial business oppurtunity is at the time of great return on your investment.
